The CUDIMHA Info Day (21st January 2020) took place during The Masaryk University Language Centre Week (20th – 24th January 2020), an internal conference held annually in late January to promote exchange and sharing of best practices and new activities the Language Centre offers.
The CUDIMHA Masaryk University team used this event to introduce the CUDIMHA project to the university academic staff. The goal was to spread more knowledge about the project in general, to promote project activities and to gain potential interest among students in the future Master Programme. Over 40 academics from all nine faculties of Masaryk University participated in the event. The focus of the First Info Day was on academics, since Masaryk University Language Centre has a specific position within the CUDIMHA partners. It is service institute that has no students of its own; all students of the Language Centre are students of specific study programmes of individual faculties. Therefore, it was essential to increase the interest among academics from diverse faculties, who can encourage their students to join the CUDIMHA Master Programme.
The information about the CUDIMHA project was widely discussed and presented among teachers of English and French above all. The highest potential for future CUDIMHA Master Programme student participation was identified at the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Studies.
