On 17 November 2021, on the occasion of the International Day of Islamic Art, students enrolled at the second year of the CUDIMHA Master's Programme in "Communication and valorisation of the Mediterranean Cultural Heritage" at the Higher Institute of Applied Languages of Moknine, Monastir visited the main Islamic monuments of the city of Monastir, including the Ribat as first Islamic and defensive monument built in northern Africa.
During the day students also visited the ribat Sidi Duwayd (240 H / 854) - built by the son of Ibrahim Ibn Aghlab and currently known as the Ribat of Sidi Dhuib - as well as the Ribat and Mosque of the Sayyida - a religious and defensive monument probably built during the Zirid period (5th century Hegira / 11th century AD) in memory of a close relative of Al Moez Ibn Badis) located in Monastir.
